Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I am enjoying my summer break, but I think I'm trying to find a way to spend less time on the computer, so I'm looking for hobbies, which has led me to take up crocheting. It's not working too well. You see, I'm one of those who have been told that I'm quite intelligent and all that other stuff, so when I can't get something, I get extremely frustrated (to the point of tears). So yeah, I started yesterday--I know how to make a slip knot, a chain, and that's about it. I'm currently trying to figure out double crochet, but that's kicking my butt.
I've got a busy weekend--hanging out with Kris, Rin, Tim, and who knows who else (and there may only be a few of you who know who I'm talking about); tomorrow I've been invited to dinner with some people in my Sunday School class, and Sunday is Beach Nite with my church, which is always a big to-do.
Okay, I said more quizzes, and here they are.

For you poor, unenlightened fools who have not seen The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, that is a classic line from the film. It was suggested to me by a friend (okay, a couple of friends), and I rented it, finally, and I found it absolutely hilarious! It's the perfect mix of stupid humor, dry wit, and British comedy; I was laughing within the first 2 minutes when dolphins were singing, "So long, and thanks for all the fish!"
Well, I'm gearing up for a few big things this month. First of all, I'm going to visit a friend of mine this weekend--I haven't seen her since college, and we're both really excited about it. It's kind of a big thing for me, because this will be my first time to go through Houston by myself (I know, some of you probably find me a wimp, but when you've got a controlling grandmother who has to drive practically EVERYWHERE, you don't get many chances). And speaking of my grandmother, she's freaking out some about the whole thing, but hopefully I can make it up there and back safely, and she won't freak out as much!
Then, in a couple of weeks, my church will be having their Vacation Bible School; I've always been a member of the praise team, teaching the kids the moves to the different songs (yes, Nic, fat girls can move!), and one year I was a helper in a classroom at another church's VBS. This year, I'll be helping out in the Missions area. I have no idea what I'll be doing, but it should be a lot of fun.
In the past couple of weeks, I've realized that I haven't been as faithful in daily Scripture study and prayer. So I'm trying to do that, and it's been really rewarding. A woman from my Sunday School class and I are also reading and responding to Joshua Harris's I Kissed Dating Goodbye, which has been really good and eye-opening, even though it is geared a little more towards those younger than myself. The good thing is that I have found that some of the principles of godly dating I have already committed myself to do.
Well, not much else is going on, besides reading fan-subbed Naruto manga and getting back into playing Fable: The Lost Chapters. Nothing else, really. I'm gonna get gone--good night to the very few who read this little hole-in-the-wall in cyberspace.
